Storms Bring Spring Snow to Mt Ruapehu
Over the past week there have been a number of storm fronts pass over the Tongariro National Park bringing with it epic amounts of spring snow. With a snow base of now well over 2 metres, the 2014 ski season looks set to go right through to November!

Snow fell as low as National Park on Saturday, and has been continuing to fall over the mountain since then. Whakapapa now has a snow base of 215cm and Turoa 273cm. Both fields received another 15cm overnight.

The weather is expected to start clearing today around Tongariro National Park, and be clear by this Friday.
There's still great skiing and snowboarding to be had, on great snow conditions. Love Ruapehu!
